What a Winterfest!

Big thanks to everyone who came down on Sunday night to celebrate with us at Winterfest….what a perfect night…cloudless, starry but not too cold! The Cathedral was a magical candlelit glow – packed to overflowing with plenty of prams & babies enjoying the ambience too…outside in the crisp night air the parvis of the Cathedral was bustling – friends & ¬†families gathered to enjoy warm wintery dishes with a European flavour….organic goulash pies, bratwurst, paella, soup, crepes, churros, gingerbread & traditional German Gugelhopf – all devoured by the hungry crowd. The longest queue was at the Hot Chocolate stall where Italian flavours were a winner. An old Italian family recipe was also used to make the spiced mulled wine – perfect for a cold night in mid-winter. There was plenty to keep the kids happy – with a Snow Dome complete with Snow Man, fire dancers & live Gypsy Swing to dance to – not to mention the grassy hill & Ascalon Sculpture which kept them entertained well into the night. What a wonderful way to spend a winter’s night – we hope you enjoyed it as much as the kids did! If you want more wintery wonders why not come & see what’s on this Friday at the Winter Supper Club at Perth Town Hall – on the last Friday of each winter month….from 5-8pm….for more info just go to:http://www.showmeperth.com.au/event/winter-supper-club
